"I worked with Ernie at Uni-Care and the Elliot Hospital. He was a kind and genuine Person and an exceptional pharmacist. He had a great sense of humor. Always referred to me as kiddo (despite my getting older) He will be terribly missed by those who knew and loved him. So deeply sorry to the entire Chabot family for your loss of such a great man"

"To Ernie's entire family I extend my sincere condolences. As a classmate of his brother Ray, both in grammar and high school, I knew Ernie through that connection, as the older brother role model. I moved away from Putnam Street, and then Agnes Street, many years ago but I remember Ernie's kindness and steadfastness. May you find comfort and the support of many family and friends in this time of loss. And may Ernie receive his eternal reward. -- Henry Huot, Arlington, Virginia"

"My deepest condolences to Ernie's family and to all who knew and loved him. I became acquainted with Ernie through his lovely wife Muriel, who was my coworker at CMC Lab for many years. Their loving marriage of 52 years, their devotion to one another and Ernie's tender care for Muriel during her illness are an inspiration to all. Well done, good and faithful servant. Rest in the peace of the Lord. You will be truly missed."

"My deepest sympathies to all. I have known Ernie for many year but I got to know him even better when we both worked with Troop 135. He was such a great example to the boys and the adult leaders as well. He held himself up to a high standard and that example did not go unnoticed by the boys who learned to appreciate his counsel and guidance. We are all better for having known him. Rest in peace old friend "Ala Laka Ching"."

"Deepest sympathy to Ernie's family for their loss. His devotion to the scouts in Troop 135 was well above the norm. Ernie set a high standard as a merit badge counselor forming core competencies and ideals that boys of character rely on throughout their lives. He will be missed by all."
