Tribute & Message From The Family

Charles D. "Charlie" Hunt, 23, of Goffstown, died December 13, 2017 at his home after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born in Keene on December 11, 1994 to Christopher and Joanne (Rouleau) Hunt. He graduated from Straight A Academy in 2013 and lived in Goffstown for most of his life.

Charlie was very athletic. He was a state champion wrestler and was a member of Goffstown undefeated state championship football and lacrosse teams in 2012. He was also musically talented as a guitarist and vocalist. He had a deep Catholic faith and had portrayed Jesus in the re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Good Friday in 2012.

In recognition of his battle with cancer, former NH Gov. John Lynch declared December 16, 2012 as Charlie Hunt Day.

He will be remembered as a kindhearted and empathetic person who loved children.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Ruby W. Hunt.

The family includes his parents, Christopher and Joanne (Rouleau) Hunt of Goffstown; three siblings, Madeline M. Hunt of Manchester and Paul G. Hunt and Andrew P. Hunt both of Goffstown; his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Virginia Rouleau of Surry; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester.

Private interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester will be at the convenience of the family.

To the Hunt family;
It's hard to understand why our loved ones are taken away from us,but find comfort in knowing you were a big, and special part of Charlie's well-lived life....When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves behind a gift of memories in exchange.......hold on to them, and let them guide you during this time of sadness...My heart aches for you,and my prayers and thoughts are with you every step of the way
