Condolence & Memory Journal

As most of the people here in Manchester still know that I work for George's Apparel. Every day I come into work I still think of George and always will. Sometimes me or Cy or Jamie will heard something different and we will laugh and say it must be George. He will always be in my heart. He felt like a Dad.

Could not have asked for a better father-in-law, Meet you and Vivian when I was 16 years old when I started dating Scott. We had some great conversations about life and buisness. You and Vivian were wonderful to me and I will cherish the happy times. RIP and I hope you are dancing across the clouds.

I met George a few years ago while he lived at the same assisted living facility as my father. He always had a smile and a warm manner. He and my Dad shared stories about owning their own businesses and reminisced about their experiences. Those discussions meant a lot to my Dad. He was a very special man.

George was such a dear man. We had the pleasure of working for him and sharing a deep friendship. We enjoyed our visits and reminiscing about Georges back in the day. You will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers to the family. Cherish the memories.

George was always a gentlemen who enjoyed his job and his business. I financed a loan for him years ago and he was always very cordial. One year he asked if I would be in a commercial for his business. He was a great businessman, always a gentleman and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go to his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of George's step-children, and all of his employees at George's Apparel; especially Holly Auger.

George was one hell of a guy. He was always so cordial, and I've never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word.

I first met George at his store, after he purchased the former Clothing Mart, that I'd shopped at prior. Anyone who knows Manchester, knows that is THE place to get a suit.

Special condolences to Holly Auger. I know from seeing you so much at Bedford Falls, when my old neighbor was staying there, that you were always there for him, and did so much. God Bless you. †

God Speed, George. May you rest in peace, reunited with your wife.

George, You are one of most wonderful people I have ever work for. You became part of my family, I enjoy all the moments we spend together. The good and the bad. I will miss you more than you'll ever know. I love you! May you rest in piece. Holly

My deepest condolences go out to George's family. He was a gentleman among gentlemen. Like many, I was a customer and, as such, was always treated like royalty. I also had the pleasure to play bridge with George, and he attended a few of my beginner classes. He became a member of the American Contract Bridge League in recent years, and played when he could get away from his official duties. At this year's annual meeting of the NH Bridge Association, on July 15th, we will read his name from among a list of other members we lost this year. May he rest in peace.

I worked for George in the 1960s, It was a great experience for me. I have had the chance to buy suits for my sons at Georges as well as myself many times over the years. George did it right, he will be missed.

I go way back with George and his wife Vivian, on both sides of the table - meaning they were clients of mine and I was a customer of theirs - and both relationships were rewarding. My condolences to all of George's stepchildren, especially Jim, whom I know the best.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend, George. We will hold close to our hearts our fond memories of working together at Jim's Oxford Shop and the Male Rack. Most recently the time we spent sharing coffee and lunch was special to us. He was a gentleman and a scholar. Rest In Peace. May his memory be eternal!

'Brother' George was a great guy, with a great smile! He was generous with his time and support to all that knew him.
I, like many others, had the privilege of knowing him. He will be missed by us all. May God bless you, George, and your family, during this most difficult time.

A gentle man and a gentleman..that was George and that was an attitude he conveyed to his support staff over so many years. He often worked with me on "colorful" clothing issues. We shared many common political attitudes over all the years. GEORGE'S has a major hole to fill with his departure from the businss.
