Tribute & Message From The Family

Frank W. Koziatek, 98, of Manchester, died June 24, 2019 at Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Center after a brief period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on May 6, 1921 to Walter and Victoria (Plocharczyk) Koziatek. He was president of the 1939A graduating class from Manchester Central High School and attended Linotype operator trade school in New York. He lived most of his life in Manchester and, in retirement, for 18 years in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Frank worked in Manchester as a printer at the Union Leader newspaper for 25 years and formerly at Lew A. Cummings Printing Company. He enjoyed time spent with his family and took great pride in caring for his home and landscaping. He also enjoyed fishing and watching the Red Sox.

He was a lifetime communicant and supporter of Blessed Sacrament Church in Manchester.

He was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Shirley E. (Batchelder) Koziatek in 2017; a son, Jan C. Koziatek in 2010; a grandson, Christopher Koziatek; and four siblings, Edmund Koziatek, Jenny Koziatek, Emily Glynn and Louise Cartier.

The family includes two children, Stephen F. Koziatek of Manchester and Marcia Vartanian and her husband, Warren, of Merrimack; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Services are private. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester at the convenience of the family.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marcia and Steve, Your dad and I visited often at the grocery store. He was a very special man! I will always have fond memories of your father as well as your mother.....and our childhood adventures! My deepest sympathies for you both as well as your families.

Frank was a gentleman . He was kind, funny and had wonderful stories about his wife, family and the great life he had. We all enjoyed his time with us . He was a special person and will me sadly missed.

Steve, so sorry to hear of your Dads' passing. A nice long life but never long enough. I can say gyou look just like your dad. Drove past your home last week after a visit to the Goldenrod, beautiful property.again my sincere condolences.
