Tribute & Message From The Family
Adrienne (Laurendeau) Soucy, of Manchester, died July 25, 2019, three days short of her 104th birthday, at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a brief period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on July 28, 1915 to Alfred and Florence (Lemay) Laurendeau. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Adrienne worked at J.F. McElwain Shoe Company for several years and as a banquet waitress at Queen City Motel and the Carpenter Hotel for many years. She was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne at St. Anthony Church and the Alpine Club Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a devout Catholic and a longtime communicant of St. Anthony Church. She enjoyed cooking and mending family members clothing. She also had lots of fun "raising the roof" while playing cards with her three sisters. She especially enjoyed time spent with her entire extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard J. Soucy in 1994 and by six siblings.
The family includes two daughters, Connie Cote and Elaine Gaudreault, both of Manchester; five grandchildren, Nicole Kingsbury, Stacey Favreau, Kevin Cote, Keith "Bo" Cote and Jason Favreau; 13 great grandchildren, Dillon, Riley, Brady, Briana, Tylar, Hailey, Justin, Jack, Reid, Grace, Shelby, Seyarra and Robbie; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the loving care they provided to Adrienne during her time there.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, July 29, 2019 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.

I only met her a couple of times, but I know how lively she was. She especially like having Al (Sonny) Laurendeau visit her when he was in Manchester and he so loved visiting her. I am sorry for the loss of a wonderful and loving woman.

It is with a heavy heart to have to bid farewell to our beloved Aunt Dree. She was such a joy to spend time with. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to spend some quality time with her during my time living at Young St. Her wit and love of family can't be matched. She was always ready for a game or chat. She is going to be missed but now can finally play cards with her sisters again and be back in Uncle Gerry's arms, as she had longed to do. Love you Aunt Dree! May you always have a few joker's in your "deck of 15"!

My honorary aunt, Tante Adrienne, and Oncle Gerry, were like family to my brother, Maurice and I. My parents, Becky and Andy Demers, were close friends with them for most of their lives, having met through the Alpine Club. I have many fond memories of visits to their home on Young Street and of outings and parties at my parents' home on Dix St. Adrienne's ready laugh and sunny disposition were a reflection of her warm and loving heart. Though life has taken us far away from Manchester, Ma Tante Adrienne will forever remain in our hearts. Denis & Midge Demers

I have nothing but fond memories of "Ma tante Adrienne." Though not a blood relative, our families were so close that we loved her as if she were. What I remember most was her good humor. That may have been the key to her longevity. My sincere condolences go out to Connie, Elaine, and the rest of the family. May you rest in the peace of the Lord "Ma tante".
