Condolence & Memory Journal
Pat, I can't express my sorrow enough. Just came home from Sat. Mass at St. Catherines where they announced the deaths for the past week and to hear the name Mike Smith shocked me. I thought at first it was someone else and not your Mike. After looking back at the newspaper obituaries, came to realize it actually is "your Mike". I missed reading the news that day Mikes' obituary was in and I apologize I wasn't there for the calling hours, I'm sure it was heavily attended. My prayers are with you and I hope you are hanging in there as much as possible. It is so hard to believe, Mike was such a health nut, it was only a couple months ago that you told me he had been diagnosed with the cancer, it went so fast for him.
Again I am so so very sorry. I will call you after the holidays to touch base with you. Take Care,

Mike was a dear friend and colleague. It was my privilege to watch his career advance from Keene to Corporate and on.So deserved. A special man...funny, kind, caring, dedicated, smart, creative. He worked hard - on the job, in the house, going to school and raising the sons he loved so. A life well lived. My sympathies and prayers to the family. May your wonderful memories give you strength and peace. Mike has eternal life.

I think of Mike as our own "Mr. Rogers". Everyone was welcome in his neighborhood, he had a smile for everyone and an infectious laugh. He cared deeply for all who worked on our systems and their safety. He personified the definition of a professional and yet he was a man of the masses. Many of us will miss him but none more then his family. Thanks for walking among us but sadly not long enough.

I am very sad to hear this news. I worked with Mike for many years at PSNH and for a time on large customer projects. Mike's expertise and problem solving ability were a big asset to these teams that we were part of. Mike was always willing to help and his positive attitude made him an easy person to work with. Many fond memories.

My friend and former boss, Michael T. Smith...you were one in a million; always so kind, caring, soft spoken and very genuine. You were quietly influence in so many ways at work and throughout the community. There will be a large void now, but all the gifts you extended throughout your life are now embedded in so many hearts and memories. Pat and family, I am deeply sorry for this immense loss in your lives. I will pray for all of you in the days ahead for peace and acceptance. Mike made a huge impact on so many. Let this be a source of comfort to all of you at this difficult time. There is a new angel in heaven now. He will do even greater things from above.
