Tribute & Message From The Family

Albert "Al" Ferguson, a World War II Navy Veteran and friend to all who knew and loved him, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2019 at the age of 94. Al was affectionately known as "Boppa" by his grandchildren and "Pops" by his son, Pete.

He was very proud of his service as a Petty Officer in the US Navy, on the USS General M.M. Patrick from 1942 to the end of the War. After the War, he married Marguerite "Peggy" (Devine) and devoted his life and love to her and their four children, Linda, Paul, Peter and Hugh. He continued working in government services until he and Peggy retired to Cape Cod. Al was known by his many dear friends as quite a character, fun-loving, compassionate and one who deeply loved all of his family and his Country.

Al was predeceased by his beloved wife, Peggy, his loving daughter, Linda Allgor and youngest son, Hugh. He is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, Paul and Karen of Manchester, NH, Peter and Cathy of San Francisco, CA; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private.

Donations may be made in his memory to Home, Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.

Well, I can just hear his laugh now! Al had the best sense of humor, was a very good listener and loved a good joke! He often spoke of his naval service and was very proud of his country. He lived a great life and raised a wonderful, loving family! He will be missed.
