Condolence & Memory Journal

My deepest condolences to her 'family', the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and to her immediate family. I met Sister Louis-Philippe (as we knew her) at Notre Dame High in Berlin in the mid-sixties. She was a wonderful teacher (even though I despised Geometry) and a beautiful person. She left such an impact in my life with her warm smile and great personality. I was so touched by her passing and know that she will be missed by all who knew her. Her journey has ended but not her legacy...

My love and sympathy to the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary community, and to Sister Cecile's family. It was my good fortune to know Sister Cecile through my volunteer work at Rivier University, to work with her on a committee there. She was such an admirable Sister, one who gently spoke the truth, but kept her special semi-mischievous sense of humor. She kept a very sharp eye on the condition of Rivier finances, and knew her "stuff"! After she retired, and then later moved to Manchester, I visited her a few times bearing treats she could share with the Sisters. She told me she was pleased to be in the room formerly occupied by Sister Adrienne, and I teased her that she was the only one formidable enough to share the space. She will be sorely missed, yet it gives me sweet comfort to know she now lives in perfect peace and joy.

My deepest condolences to the Sisters of the Presentation and to Sister Cecile's family. She was so knowledgeable and had such a gentle, pleasant personality. I always enjoyed chatting with her on campus. I visited with her once in Manchester and although she seemed to be uncomfortable, she had that same beautiful smile and did not complain. Knowing that she is at peace and no longer in pain is a comfort. May happy memories soften your grief. RIP Sister Cecile.

Sister Cecile was my Geometry teacher at Notre Dame High School in Berlin, NH, in 1966-67. We knew her as Sr. Louis Philippe. I believe she was in her 30's. She was a great teacher and very energetic. Deepest sympathy to her fellow nuns and her nieces and nephews.
