Carol LaPlante Eldridge, 66, formerly of Bedford, New Hampshire, died on March 18, 2012 in Hanover, NH, with her two children by her side.

Our loving mother was born in Holyoke, MA on February 8, 1946, the daughter of William and Julia (Curran) LaPlante.

She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Masters in Reading from the University of New Hampshire and a Juris Doctorate from Franklin Pierce Law School. Carol took great pride in being part of a group of educators who were instrumental in bringing new teaching methods to the forefront of education, including "team teaching".

She enjoyed going to the beach, walking, reading, singing, and spending time with her family.

Carol was predeceased by her youngest son, Nathan, in 2006. Surviving members of her family include a son, Jonathan, of Narragansett, Rhode Island; a daughter and son- in- law, Julie (Eldridge) and Robert Brown of N. Hartland, Vermont; grandchildren Tobias and Evelyn Brown; a sister and brother- in -law, Judith (LaPlante) and James Frain; a niece, Carolyn Berry and a nephew, Jay Frain.
