Obituary

Conrad Patrick McGovern passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on November 18, 2021 at the age of 2.

Born in Manchester on February 5, 2019, he was the beautiful and loving son to Kevin and Juliane McGovern and big brother to Charlie. Conrad LOVED riding his bike, especially around Dorrs Pond where onlookers often asked his age due to his natural talent on the bike. Conrad was such a social child, always excited to be around other children. Whether going to school and playing with friends in the Tiger Room, or getting together with his cousins, Conrad was his happiest with other children.
One of Conrad's favorite things was to work alongside Dada and help him on projects in the basement or in the yard, once saying "it's my favorite" while digging with his dad. He was so observant of everything around him, pointing out every school bus, construction site or truck he saw. When hearing the mail truck, he'd run to the window and say "thank you, mailman." He will be most missed for all the love he gave to everyone around him. On a daily basis he would say "Mom, I want to hug you." Conrad was such a kind and attentive big brother to Charlie. Whether running to close the basement door before he could get to the stairs and say "no, Charlie boy" or saying "go backwards, Charlie boy" to keep him safe. Conrad loved looking at the moon. As part of our night time routine, we would go outside as a family to point at the moon and say "good night moon, good night stars" before he gave everyone a kiss goodnight.

Surviving family members include his parents, maternal grandparents Levi and Gertrude Theriault, paternal grandparents, Patrick and Ellen McGovern, maternal great-grandmother, Katerina Kollmann (Uhli), and paternal great-grandmothers Helene McGovern, Catherine (Carey) Fortin, and Kathy Fortin. Uncles and Aunts, Levi and Sarah Theriault, Michael and Alexandra McGovern, John and Molleigh McGovern, and Margaret McGovern; cousins Gemma, Tate, Sutton "Sut Sut", Parker, Piper and Levi.

There are too many wonderful things to share about our Conrad. For anyone who had the privilege of knowing him, they understood the wisdom this child possessed at such a young age. He was to become so much in this life, but is now our angel watching over us. We were given such a gift in this life to have had you as our son, Conrad, and promise to do good every day, making a difference in other's lives in your honor. Until we meet again, sweet boy. Love, Mom & Dad
