Obituary

David G. Lariviere, 69, of Auburn, died March 20, 2018 at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Amesbury, MA on September 18, 1948 to Romeo and Lucille (Lucier) Lariviere. He grew up in Amesbury and lived most of his life in Auburn.

During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army.

David worked at Eastern Rainbow Printing in Derry and Graphic Color Corporation in Lawrence, MA for many years.

He had many interests including, hunting, fishing, cooking, history, genealogy, archaeology, bird watching and watching Jeopardy. He especially enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren and was affectionately known to his nieces and nephews as "Uncle Fun". He was also recognized by the UNH Cooperative Extension for having the tallest pecan tree in the state of New Hampshire.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years and lifelong best friend, Gloria J. (Paquette) Lariviere in 2017 and three siblings, Arthur Lariviere, Richard Lariviere and Diane Hoover.

The family includes three children, Amy Stewart and her husband, William, of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Melissa Dembowitz and her husband, David, of Acworth, GA and Elizabeth Gregory and her husband, Chad, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; nine grandchildren, Samuel and Julia Dembowitz, Jackson, Brady, Savannah and Maverick Gregory and Olivia, Isabella and Alexander Stewart; his mother of Amesbury, MA; a brother, James Lariviere of Amesbury, MA; and nieces and nephews.

A shared funeral ceremony for David and his brother-in-law, Alfred Benware, was held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Private burial for David will be at St. Augustin Cemetery in Manchester at the convenience of the family.
