Obituary

Dorothy A. Dobrowski, 92, of Hooksett died August 19, 2017 after a long life and a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester on July 11, 1925, she was the daughter of Napoleon Belisle Jr. and Auree (Abel) Belisle. She was educated in the Hooksett school system and graduated from Central High School, where she met her husband, Henry J. Dobrowski. For over 40 years she owned and operated the iconic Texaco station on Route 3A in Hooksett.

She will be remembered as an excellent seamstress and expert knitter. She was a committed volunteer who donated her time to the Prime Time volunteer program and as a volunteer at Catholic Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, vegetables, and orchard.

She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1994 and her daughter–in-law, Catherine Dobrowski.

Family members include her children: George Dobrowski of Texas; Thomas Dobrowski and wife Deborah of Sebago, Maine; Patricia Gorton and husband James of Hooksett, Elaine O'Donal and husband Jeffrey of Gorham, Maine; and her grandchildren: Dana Patten, Elizabeth Boedecker, Michelle Dobrowski, Stephanie Lobel, Stacey O'Donal, Jamie and Maegan Gorton; several siblings, nephews, nieces, and her six great-grandchildren.

A service was held on Monday, August 28, 2017 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
