Eleanor Healy Barnes, 84, of Rye, formerly of Manchester died May 18, 2022 at Birch Hill Manchester surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester NH, August 18, 1937, she was the daughter of Frank and Beatrice (Padden) Healy. She earned her bachelor's degree from Northeastern University and her MBA from UNH.

Prior to retirement, she had worked for Philico in the satellite division and then New Hampshire College. She was instrumental in creating the Management Information Services department and curriculum to NHC/SHNU. She also travelled the country as part of the teams that accredited other schools computer sciences/IT curriculums.

Ellie loved to travel, play bridge and enjoy the beach. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Frank Barnes in 2017.

Ellie is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Williams and husband Doug of Manchester; his grandsons, James Williams of Boston, and Marshall Williams of Manchester; brother Donald Healy and sister-in-law Pat Healy of Manchester, sister Nancy Burke and brother-in-law Edward Burke, and sister-in-law Nancy Healy of Bedford, and her many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Sunday from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at noon in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock St.
