Louis G. Chabot, 89, of Manchester, died November 4, 2017 at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on February 5, 1928 to Ernest and Rosa (Brunelle) Chabot. He lived in the Pinardville section of Goffstown for many years and in Ormond by the Sea, FL for 10 years.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Louis worked for Cote Brothers Bakery in Manchester for many years. In retirement, he worked for Koffee Kup Bakery in Vermont and New England Courier.

He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, Elks Club, Cercle National Club and the Knights of Columbus Council 5260.

He enjoyed playing Santa at Christmastime and being known as the "Mayor" of St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Irene A. (Roy) Chabot in 2015 and by six siblings, Paul Chabot, Felix Chabot, Wilfred Chabot, Monique Chabot, Teresa Milville and Ernest Chabot.

The family includes four children, Anita Girard and her husband, Robert, and Denise Paradis and her husband, Steven, all of Goffstown, Louise Spinelli and her husband, Michael, of Manchester and Louis Chabot and his wife, Mary, of Ephrata, PA; six grandchildren, Jennifer Yergeau, Rob Girard, Timothy Paradis, Mark Paradis, Leslie Chabot and Ryan Chabot and seven great grandchildren; a sister, Cecile Wester and her husband, Richard, of Concord and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the loving care they provided for Louis.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
