Paul M. Philibert, 84, of Wentworth, died April 20, 2017 at Pleasant View Center in Concord after a period of declining health due to Alzheimer's Disease.
He was born in Bedford on March 25, 1933 to Arthur and Angeline (Haley) Philibert. He lived in Manchester for many years before retiring and moving to Wentworth 21 years ago.
During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army.
Paul worked as an auto mechanic at Sears & Roebuck in Manchester for 39 years. He enjoyed working around his home, woodworking and fishing. He and his wife enjoyed the outdoors, camping and hiking many of New Hampshire's mountains.
The family includes his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Beverly J. (Duston) Philibert; five children, Wayne Philibert, Donna Michaud, Kevin Philibert, Paul Philibert Jr. and Jeffrey Philibert; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by six siblings, Ernest Philibert, Gabrielle Duhaime, Jeannette Vigneault, Antoinette Powers, Rita Desmarais and Beatrice Provencher.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, 145 Lowell St., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
