Obituary

Richard H. Gosselin, 83, of Litchfield, died March 3, 2022, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Manchester on September 15, 1938, to Hector and Rose Anna (Dionne) Gosselin. He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School in Manchester. He lived his early life in Manchester, built his dream home in Bedford and retired in Litchfield.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves for six years.

Richard worked as a meat inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for many years.

He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially to warmer weather. He invested in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to the fullest! He loved every moment in the hockey rink, on the soccer sidelines and sitting behind home plate (with his little notebook). No one beamed brighter watching dance recitals, plays or graduations. His contagious smile didn't just warm the hearts of his family but everyone who met him!

He was predeceased by his parents and two siblings, Florence Perkins and Armand Gosselin.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeannine (Thibodeau) Gosselin of Litchfield; four children, Michelle Wright and her husband, William, of Bedford, Mark Gosselin and his wife, Donna, of Manchester and Richard A. Gosselin and his wife, Ann, and Lauren Pederson and her husband, Christopher, all of Bedford; nine grandchildren, Chelsea Malizia and her husband, Mike, Tyler Gosselin, Quincy Wright, Julia Wright, Meghan Gosselin, Seana Gosselin, Courtney Pederson, Audrey Pederson and Colby Pederson; two great grandchildren, Theodore Malizia and Brooklyn Malizia; a sister, Doris Plante of Candia; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
