Obituary

Robert L. Bissonnette, 79, of Manchester, died on July 19, 2018, at CMC, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on September 19, 1938, he was the son of Orien R. and Simone (Tremblay) Bissonnette. He was educated in Manchester, a graduate of St. Anthony High School and a lifelong resident of the Queen City.
Robert served in the NH Army National Guard before being honorably discharged at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1988. He also owned and operated Orien R. Bissonnette Concrete, Inc. for 35 years before retiring in 2008.
Robert was a very active member of his parish, St. Anthony of Padua. He served as lector, was an educator of CCD, in charge of the youth group, and was on the pastoral council. He was a former parishioner of St. Theresa Church. He was also the chairman of cub pack 106. Robert lived for his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he deeply loved and adored. He was a very hardworking, passionate, and loyal man who loved his family. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Family includes his beloved wife of 56 years, Lorraine L. (Leclerc) Bissonnette of Manchester; three daughters, Monique Lycett and husband Philip of Laconia, Pauline Jones and husband Joseph of Goffstown, and Diane Johnston and husband Daniel of Hooksett; three sons, Marc Bissonnette and wife Crystal of Manchester, David Bissonnette of Manchester, and Paul Bissonnette and wife Tara of Manchester; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Nicholas, Benjamin, Andrew, Jacob, Meghan , and Caiden; three great grandchildren, Anthony, Owen, and Austin; five siblings, Doris Bissonnette, Constance Benoit, Helene Paris, Richard Bissonnette, and Claude Bissonnette; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
