Obituary

Robert N. "Rob" Duprez Jr, 47, of Hooksett, NH died January 16, 2018 at his residence after a sudden illness.

Born in Newton, MA on March 5, 1970, he was the son of Robert N. Duprez Sr. and Caroline (Soberg) Kohler. Rob was educated in the Waltham elementary school system and at the age of 12, the family moved to Florida where he attended school in Longwood, Florida and graduated from Lyman High School. Rob attended Florida State University then transferred to the University of New Hampshire where he graduated cumme laude with his Masters in History and where he had most recently been working on his Masters in Social Work and was scheduled to graduate in May of 2018.

Robert was a history buff who enjoyed helping others. He was a member of several Board of Directors, including On the Board to Wellness, of which he was Chairman. He loved working with disadvantaged people especially those in NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Rob was a good, kind soul with a love of all Boston sports, history, Florida State University, politics and his family. Above all else, Rob was a scholar and demanded true perfection of himself, anything less than an A was unacceptable.

Rob will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, stepson, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His mother, Caroline, always referred to her son as her Star and looking skyward, he will live with her forever.

Family members include his mother, Caroline and step-father Arthur Kohler of Hooksett, NH; his father, Robert N. Duprez Sr. and companion Carmella Cote of Salem, MA; his sister Caryn Butts and husband Jeff Butts of Bedford, NH; his nephew, Connor Butts; his niece Lindsay Butts; his uncle, Carl Soberg of Pembroke, NH; his aunt, Elaine Parent and husband Al of Flagler Beach, FL; cousins and friends.
