Obituary

Robert "Bob" Thibeault, 89, formerly of Manchester, died peacefully in his sleep on January 23, 2021 at the Arbors of Bedford. He was born in Concord on February 3, 1931 to George and Annie (Vanderhagen) Thibeault.

He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Bache D.D.E. 470 during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Sweeney Post.

After his service in the Navy, Bob worked in the construction industry for Harvey Construction Company. His retirement was spent with friends and family doing things that made him happy; trips to the race track, playing cards, fishing on Lakes Winnisquam and Winnipesaukee with his brother, dancing (lots of dancing) and living life to the fullest. But most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family and his beautiful wife of over 60 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Suzanne "Sue" L. (Gendron) Thibeault in 2016; their daughter, Penny Thibeault in 1987 and his brother, Roger Thibeault.

Bob is survived by three daughters, Debra Savoie and her husband, Andy, of Hooksett, Lisa Margeson and her husband, Rick, of Scituate, MA and Melissa "Missy" Ruddy and her husband, Sam, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Corie Savoie and his fiancé Molly Knight, of Helena, AL, Penny Savoie of Hooksett and Nikki Margeson and James Margeson (currently in the Naval Academy at Annapolis) both of Scituate, MA; his brother, Richard Thibeault of Pembroke and Roger's wife, Noella Thibeault of Allenstown.

Comments from those who knew him well over his rich life describe him best; "He was the only man I've ever known to never raise his voice out of anger and always be kind."; "He never asked you a question that he did not truly want to listen to the answer" and most common, "He was the most loving, full of life, always ready for a party and a dance, sweet man I've ever met, enjoying life and all it had to offer." The family could not agree more and will miss him greatly.
