Obituary

Robert Wilfred Pelletier, of Hooksett, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on February 4, 2021 at the age of 87, after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on December 16, 1933 to Demerise Routhier (1908 - 1953) and Thomas Pelletier (1906 – 1966).

Robert also grew up with his younger brother Richard. They were inseparable. As a teen and young adult, he loved spending his time playing baseball, which was his passion.

During his early years of life, he attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and St. Joseph High School for Boys in Manchester, which later became Bishop Bradley High School. He entered the U.S. Army in 1953 and later served in the NH Army National Guard from 1977 to 1989

In his early 20's he met Lorraine Guilbeault. They fell in love, got married in 1957 and had a family of four children, three boys and a girl. Upon his return from military service, he worked at Chicopee Mills and later at Sunbeam Bread where he worked for over 20 years. After his retirement, he worked part-time at Bee Bee Shoe in Manchester.

Robert was an active member of St. George Church and later St. Joseph Cathedral. He was also a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood. His hobbies were tennis, bowling on the bakery league, playing softball, cribbage league and being a father. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to him and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to supporting his family.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lorraine (Guilbeault) Pelletier of Hooksett; four children, Robert Pelletier and his wife, Aracelis, of Virginia and Roger Pelletier, Marc Pelletier and his wife, Sharon, and Denise Terry and her husband, Mike, all of Hooksett; four grandchildren, Kyle Pelletier, Spencer Pelletier, Meagan Rousseau and her husband, Cory and Nicholas Terry and his fiance, Kelly; and a brother, Richard
Pelletier and his wife, Patricia, of Washington State.

The family would like to give a big thank you to the Amedisys hospice care nurses, chaplain and social worker for making Robert feel comfortable in his last days.
