Obituary for Roger J. Beliveau

June 9, 1945 - April 1, 2018
Bedford, New Hampshire | Age 72

Roger J. Beliveau, 72, died Sunday, April 1, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Manchester, NH, son of the late Henri and Germaine (Lemire) Beliveau. He was married for 53 years to his high school sweet heart and love of his life, Shirley (Simon) Beliveau. A graduate of Manchester High School West, Roger went on to serve 18 years in the Army National Guard and worked for the City of Manchester Traffic Department for 28 years.
Roger's greatest passion in life was spending time with his family and friends. He always enjoyed company and especially spending time with his 4 grandsons. His favorite hobby was fishing at the lake and made sure he helped each grandson catch their first bass. Roger loved the lake and taking people for boat rides. In downtime, you could always find him having a drink on the deck with friends and family. Roger always made everyone feel welcome and truly enjoyed making people laugh.
Later in life Roger enjoyed his retirement with his wife, Shirley, spending half the year in Florida where he enjoyed the beach, being part of their community and having family and friends visit.
Roger was proud of his military service with the Army. He was a member of the American Legion, Sweeney Post for 35 years and a lifetime member of the DAV.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Simon) Beliveau; son, Brian Beliveau and his girlfriend Kathy Provencher of Bedford; his daughter, Lisa (Beliveau) Vance and her husband Shelby Vance of Bedford; his daughter, Sheri (Beliveau) Milom and her husband Thomas Milom of Bedford. Roger's greatest pride and joy were his four grandsons; Nathan and Ian Vance, and Talon and Mason Milom. Roger also leaves his brother, Paul Beliveau and his wife Joan of Manchester; his brother, Gerard Beliveau and his wife Margaret of Texas; his sister, Janet (Beliveau) Olmstead and her husband Dennis of Allenstown and is predeceased by his sister Lucille (Beliveau) Caron. Roger also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom were very special to him.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Road, Bedford.
