Obituary

Roger Paul Boisvert, 86, of Manchester died April 15, 2018 at a local healthcare facility surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manchester on November 28, 1931, he was the son of Oscar and Florence (Valliere) Boisvert. He was educated in the local school system.
Prior to retirement, Roger had earned the rank of Master Sergeant in the US Air Force. He also served in the Air National Guard.
From 1962 until 1981, he had co-owned and managed Standard Fruit Grocery Store in Manchester. Roger had also served as Chief of Staff for US Congressman Norm D'Amours. Roger had served the State of NH as a Liquor Commissioner for nearly a decade and had most recently been a Senior Advisor at Southern Wines & Spirits of New England.

Roger had served as the chairman of the Manchester Airport Authority, a director of Associated Grocers of New England and New Hampshire Retail Grocers Association. He served for nearly a decade on the Manchester Police Commission and served as its chairman for many years. He also sat on the Board of Directors for both the Senior Activity Center and Serenity Place.

Always active in his community, Roger held memberships in Interval Country Club, the Elks Club, the American Legion Sweeney Post, the DAV, the Hundred Club of NH, the Jolliet Club as well as the Franco American Society. Roger enjoyed bowling, playing golf and watching the Boston Red Sox.

He was predeceased by one son, Paul J. Boisvert and his siblings, Simone Maynard, Roland Boisvert, Armand Boisvert and Rita (Boisvert) Bennett.
Family members include his wife of nearly 64 years, Lorraine (Cassidy) Boisvert of Manchester; his son, Gary Boisvert and wife Kimberly of Bow; his daughter, Linda Boisvert Bukowski and husband Mark of Manchester; his grandchildren, Jaime and Stephanie Boisvert, Erik and Sarah Bukowski, and Taylor McArdle; his sister, Jacqueline Theodorou and husband Robert; a brother-in-law, Joseph H. Bennett; several nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
